Tell us a little bit about you
We are Hailey and Samantha of Two Park Princesses, a sister duo originally from New Jersey but now living local to Walt Disney World. Hailey – participated in the Disney College Program while. Samantha – worked in both the Jewelry and Make-up industries. When not working you can either find us at a runDisney event, in the parks or hanging out with our Dachshund puppies (Dixie and Dolly who are also sisters).
Tell us about your shop
We design magically inspired jewelry and accessories fit for a Princess! We work together to design all of our pieces which can be worn both within the parks and every day. Customer experience is very important to us, and we want all of our customers to feel like the royalty they are. This comes through in everything from our packaging to the customer service provided.
Why did you incorporate the parks into your shop?
We both grew up loving Disney! From the movies to the parks, it brought us and our family so much joy. We’ve always loved coordinating outfits and accessories when visiting the parks, and when we weren’t able to find just the right Minnie ears for a few of our outfits, we decided to make our own! We received a lot of questions around those ears from people we knew and a few that we didn’t so we thought it may be fun to start making our own Minnie ears to sell. After about a year or so of that, we started expanding our products to include jewelry.
What is the most nostalgic thing to you about Disney?
The magic of Disney is something that we grew up with. Although a lot is different now, we both remember watching parades that aren’t around any longer, meeting characters and having princess themed birthday parties. Seeing those Princesses and characters now will always remind us of the happiness and magic they brought us when we were kids.
Childhood memories at Disney World – let’s hear them
Samantha – chasing down every single character with my autograph book! Hailey – for me, it would be going into Minnie’s house at Toon Town! I loved seeing where she lived and watching the cake rise in her kitchen. What pop culture things from childhood do you think inspired you? I know we’ve talked pretty pretty princess and stuff in the past. We did love Pretty Pretty Princess and still own that game! But our true inspiration has always been the Disney Princesses. From each one there was a lesson and usually a really pretty outfit.
What is your favorite thing about being a shop owner?
We both love the creative process and thinking of beautiful and tasteful ways to represent characters and places that bring us and others joy. Our style is understated elegance (but with some bling of course!) and we decided when we first started to only create pieces that we ourselves love and will wear. Creating in this way and receiving positive customer feedback on things we create and love is just amazing and very satisfying.
